Our History

In 2017 as an initiative under the Mount Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Church weekly gatherings of concerned community members, local service providers, agencies, resources, and individuals experiencing homelessness met to collaborate on finding workable solutions. Known as "Friday Morning Conversations" igniting a passion within the unhoused attendees, inspiring them to make a positive change in their lives and the community. Recognizing the need for change, Welcome Home Skagit officially became a nonprofit organization on February 6, 2019.
