Welcome Home Skagit is seeking a volunteer to help with coordinating our volunteers. This will be a volunteer position that we hope will eventually, as funding will allow, lead to a salaried position. If this sounds like the position for you, please apply.
Welcome Home Skagit is partnering with area churches to provide a safe location for our unhoused neighbors who are living in their vehicles to park overnight without the threat of harrassment, being targeted by preditors, or threatened by violence. We will preform program management for the host churches with an on-site manager, or 'camp host', supported by volunteers. If this sounds like something that you would be interested in, please fill out the application below.
Hope Village at the Mount Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Church will resume spring 2023.
Other areas that we have available for you to volunteer with are our Homeless Support Services Program with assisting in helping clients on their road to housing stability; our Clean Sweep Program that is coming soon to work with our friends on the street working to clean up the areas around the businesses, parks and neighborhoods; as well as the education and advocacy work that Welcome Home Skagit does to bring awareness to the real public health emergency of homelessness not only here in Skagit County, but throughout our state and nation. If any of these sound like a fit for you, please fill out the application below.
If you're interested in volunteering in one or more of the programs and/or events that Welcome Home Skagit is doing, start by applying here and please feel free attaching your resume. We are always looking for passionate and caring individuals willing to volunteer to help the many individuals looking for a hand up, not a hand out.
